I'm planning on doing HIIT 3 times a week (that is the right way, correct) and I was also planning on doing this every day:
150 push-ups (with different variations)
150 crunches (weights)
However many pull-ups and chin ups I can do (different exercises)
some various things with dumbells (maybe squats? not sure)
I didn't really think I needed to rest a day in between, but should I? Would it be more effective to do this every day?
Thanks!

IMO, go and read about workout routines as you are going to lose a lot of lean mass doing that.

Hobbes...
Those training drills look good to me...:D
Getting into shape is not a complicated thing..it's simple..
Next month, the team practices will start..all kinds of sports..
For a couple of weeks , those athletes are going to think they are going to die on the spot, but they won't..practice drills twice a day..In 6 weeks they will be leaner, tougher, stronger, and fitter..and laughing about what wimps they were when the season started...
Don't get hung up on details...no good coach is going to baby his team..

This looks like a lot of endurance training. I'm no expert but I'd guess that it can be done everyday (take a break at least once a week though). Depending on your goals you probably want to also integrate more strength training into your routine.

disregard this topic: I made a new one that is a bit better organized.
