I don't intend on being huge or anything, endurance and overall conditioning are my main goals.

-10 miles on bike or 3-4 miles running (alternate daily)

-Do as many pushups as I can in 1 min. Then rest for 1 min; repeat 3-4x.

-Do as many Situps as I can in 1 min: Then rest for 1 min; repeat 3-4x.

-as many as I can Pull-ups and chin-ups in 1 min. Then rest for 1 min; repeat 3-4x.

-20lb. Dumbells, various exercises, Then rest for 1 min; repeat 3-4x.

All of this daily.

I've heard various things about sit-ups; some say they are effective, and others say they damage your back and don't do much. I normally do them on the floor, resting my head on a pillow and put my feet under dumbells. Yay or nay?

Will this keep me in pretty good shape? A few people have told me it needs some "structure" and I need a proper routine. I used to just do a set amount of exercises, but the 'as many in x time' idea was suggested by someone on here.

I also have a good diet so that isn't a problem.

Thanks for your help.

It's not that bad of an idea, but you are missing a huge opportunity to use heavy strength exercise as part of an endurance program. If you want big endurance, you want some decent amount of muscle on your legs, usually on your back too. If you aren't a long distance runner or cyclist, then a good deal of back and chest muscle is a plus.

So unless you have a big weight penalty in some sport, I suggest you consider adding at least the big four compounds (squat, dead, row, and bench) to your program. Squats are quite useful for endurance.

So I won't gain much muscle without a machine or some type of bar? That seems kind of strange but I'm not the expert I guess.

Will using this machine:

be good enough as far as weights are concerned? I own one but I would really prefer to do things that don't need alot of equipment.

And how about situps? Yes, no?
