ive never been really much of a veggie eater except potatoes and junk type veggies, but lately ive been trying to eat clean have been adding green veggies to my meals.

trying to keep the carbs down with my protein and fat meals, so basicaly have been using broccoli and stir fry mixes with other greens in them.

i have noticed the last couple weeks i have been doing this, i am getting stomach pains, diarrhea, and bloating b/c of the veggies. i think i am allergic to them like some people are to milk and they are causing me digestive problems.

besides getting colon cancer from lack of fiber, is their any other important reasons to keep eating the greens as long as i am taking good vitamin and mineral supplements?

Yes. Just about every other type of cancer.

And.. well, every disease known to man.

I'd say what you're experiencing is just having a little bit of fiber after living on potato chips and hamburgers.

Trust me, you're not allergic to vegetables. Keep up the fruit and vegetable intake, and you'll be better off for it long term.

Well, there could be some weirdness about your "Stir-fry" mix. Try fresh broccoli or something instead and see if that helps.

Have you changed anything else in your diet lately? I kinda doubt just adding some veggies would cause this problem.

Are you eating them with other food? I wasn't able to fully understand this sentence:

trying to keep the carbs down with my protein and fat meals, so basicaly have been using broccoli and stir fry mixes with other greens in them.

Does this mean that you eat the veggies by themselves, or that you eat them with the protein and fat meals?

A lot of people go through this as they start eating healthy. I had some degree of it, but I had some other medical problems that factored in as well so I can't say exactly how much. Your gut will get used to it over time, then when you go and have a junk food splurge, you'll pay the price because you aren't used to that, either. I suspect the bacteria that breaks down food in your bowels is switching up over time so that you start to develope more that are good at breaking down your new type of diet vs your old junk food diet.

Veggies bring some many good with them. Fiber, tons of antioxidants and micronutrients that do everything from fight off cancer to helping your workout recovery by removing free radicals from your system generated by the tissue damage you are inflicting.

As for vitamin supplements, they aren't absorbed by the system nearly as well as the foods themselves we are learning. So keep a varied diet covering your nutritional bases, then use the pills as backup.

Eat 'em.
