Since Friday i've gotten massive day stopping headaches that have not stopped yet. so we're going on the fourth day of headaches. they are throbbing migranes concentrated above my temples.

i'm a hardass, so i've continue to workout through the pain, do my cardio, etc. but it's been excruciating pain.

i'm now having to take excedrin in order to deal with the pain. i'm not much of a painkiller taker, but this has gone too far.

the only thing that's changed in my diet has been an increase in cinnamon in the mornings with my oatmeal. before i would dash it on, but now i'm applying about 3x the amount that i would normally add to my oatmeal.

i can't think of anything else that's changed. water intake is still perfect, everything else is still good.

If the headache persists, i'm going to my doctor this week. I'll probably request my blood work as usual, and maybe even ask for a DEXA scan if we can stick it in there ( haha, easy way of measuring my BF% for realz, yo)

anybody have any ideas as to what this might be , what headaches are caused from? anybody ever heard of headaches being signs of major distress or health problems?

when my head is throbbing hard i can't think straight or see straight. it's that bad.

i'm not a little bitch when it comes to pain either, but this is retarded. i once ripped my pinky toenail off in the middle of a set of barefoot deadlifts ( i'm an idiot) , and finished the set off regardless.

When did the headaches start? When you increased the amount of cinnamon you're putting on your oatmeal?

If that's the case, cut back off on the cinnamon again and see if the headaches go away. If they do, then you'll know that the cinnamon is the culprit.

Weather changes can bring on sinus headaches for me. Other then that? Supposedly high blood pressure. Stress and likely more things then we can count lead to headaches.

I agree if it started around the cinammon then drop it and see how you react. I guess it could be an alergic reaction.

Although your diet and training remains the same, what else in your life has changed? Have you been reading more these last few days, or something like that? Could need an eye test.

Is this a particulaly stressful time at the moment, have you started a new job, is work getting tougher, is there a relationship problem, are you worrying about something?

Bear in mind that even if you feel you are toughing through something, and dont "feel stressed" in your mind, stressful times can still lead to bad physical symptoms. You would not believe how bad stress can be on the body.

When someone close to me died a few years back, i developed terrible headaches. Everyone said it was stress, but i refused to believe this, and was convinced that something was wrong with me. I had blood tests, and painkillers, anti inflamatories etc, nothing really helped. But i wouldnt accept it was stress, because i just didnt "feel stressed". I felt i was coping fine. In the end, i decided to accept that it was stress, and that stress can have this effect on me. Since then i have occasionally got similar headaches, but they dont last as long, and i dont worry about them, and accept it is stress.

Headaches are usually made much much worse by worrying about them. Tension leads to worse pain. Try relaxing a couple of days, take your mind of things, and dont worry about the headaches, or anything. See what happens.

Just my 2 cents. :)

Does the Excedrin help? How much does it take?

sounds more like Tension Headache than migraine type(which are normally associated with feelings of sickness and aura /visual disturbenses)
Either way as long as they are acute and u havent had any head injury of any sort then they should resolve.its normally diificult to work out the exact cause of headaches. Cut the cinnamon though see if that works.
have u been getting enough sleep as that can effect in some people.stress can be factor.

Has the headache gotten any better? If not I'd recommend seeing a doctor. Do you have any other symptoms? Fever? Stiff neck? (if you have a stiff neck go to the ER now) Sounds like a migraine but there are other possible causes so if you haven't yet it is probably time to visit the doc.
