chicanerous Mon, April 19th, 2004, 09:16 PM I thought since I've been here a while now, I might as well post something. Unfortunately, I have less than ideal lighting conditions and an old crappy webcam.
No later than mid-June I plan to post a good full body pic.
Unfortunately I don't have access to the ideal equipment that I would like to use for ab training, mainly a decline bench and a bar which is round to hang from. (I end up constructing a massive monument to ab-work out of many pieces of machinery to get a decline bench.) I also haven't done any real cardio in a full five days, so I'm a bit chubbier than usual.
In the picture, the only flexing I've done is expelling the air out of my lungs and standing straight tall. Without further ado, my abs:

I like the lines on the side of your abs. Are those oblique muscles or is it a line from your hip bone? How do you get them?
I am never sure exactly what they are, but I like the looks of them! :tu:

In position 1, 2, or 3? (See attached image.) :p
I think you mean numero tres, which, under the line, is my hip bone and on top of it is my lower abs. Hanging leg and knee raises as well as decline reverse crunches seem to help that spot.
guava Tue, April 20th, 2004, 01:03 AM Great abs.
Can you explain your avatar pic? It looks like you're in the shower and you're either a) about to pass out from too much drinking b)worried that someone's about to attack you. It frightens me every time I see it.
Ludvig78 Tue, April 20th, 2004, 03:36 AM Question. What about the rest of your body?

I've gotten a few Private Messages about it too. I'm in Hilton Head, South Carolina last June at about 9 AM putting on sun-tan lotion. The bit of an elbow you can see on the left side of the frame is my friend taking the picture in the mirror. I am wearing shorts.
Question. What about the rest of your body?Soon.

Nice diagrams! Yes, it is #3 that I was referring to. How do you do decline reverse crunches?

tan_pao_wei Wed, April 21st, 2004, 06:42 AM Wow so there are specify exercises to do for certain abs line to be nicer and more visable? I didn't know that, i thought that if u reached a low enough bf% all the lines will show.
Haha pardon me for my ignorance, cos i always have a tyre around me all my life and knows nothing about this

In a way, yes, but actually no. You can increase definition by building more muscle, but only after you have a low enough BF%. The more muscle, the better muscle definition you will have, the lower your BF% is. Building muscle at a higher BF% will result in the area looking thicker or bigger, but not more defined. Definition has everything to do with the proportion of muscle to fat.

Lisa Stone Thu, April 22nd, 2004, 07:13 AM ha! I also wondered about the avatar!
