Hi all,
This is my 6th week on my diet and every week i was losing about 2lb/week. My 4th week (2wks ago) i started weight training, in addition cardio.
This past week though i lost 0lbs even though i ate an avg 1750 calories (43/37/20). I went to the gym twice (full body workout) and did cardio 3 times (2 hiit for 20 minutes).
Should I be concerned? Plateu,so early into my workout? Or just muscle weighing more than fat?
My goal is fat loss and to reach 165 pounds, I'm at 179 currently.
Thanks for your advice
Denis

It's probably because of the weight training. You are gaining muscle so don't worry about it.
Also if you feel like you have lost weight and it looks that way then numbers don't matter I wouldn't worry about it just keep doing what your doing and I bet you will see results soon.

If you give us more info we can probably offer better advice. Seeing details on your diet and training routine would be useful.
Still, I would not be concerned over one week without any weight loss. Sometimes I'll go several weeks with consistent weight / fat loss, then a week will go by where I lose nothing or possibly even gain a pount or two or three. Weight can fluctuate and, as ATJ said and I agree, you shouldn't concern yourself just with what the scale says.
How do you look? What do you see in the mirror? How do your clothes fit? What does the tape measure say? What do your pictures look like (weekly pictures are a good idea)? Are you getting stronger in the gym? These are all better tools than the scale. The scale represents your total weight, not how much fat or muscle you have or how much fat or muscle you might have gained or lost.

How do your clothes fit?
This was my first thought. My current "cut" has been extremely slow from a weight loss point of view, but my pants are getting loose.

I agree with what the others have told you. :)
One thing to keep in mind is that whenever you change your workout your body is initially going to view it as added stress in your life. Adding in the weight training two weeks ago was a signal that the status quo had changed. It is not unusual for there to be a brief adjustment period as your body copes with the changes, and also not unusual for your body to try and hang on to a little extra weight while it determines that the added load you are putting on your body is actually a good thing.
Stick with the weights. You'll find that it makes fat loss a lot easier over the long run. :tu:

Don't worry be happy. :)
When I just started training my weight loss rate rate
became very slow. I was still losing inches like mad, but
the number on the scale did not go down very quickly.
Don't get too upset and just enjoy your newbie gains. :)
