I sometimes wake up late on weekends (11am, noon, maybe 1pm). By doing this, does it mean i should consume slightly less calories throughout the fewer hours I am awake? Because I think I would burn less too, right?

Probably... screwing up your sleeping patterns is bad all around I think... but I do it too.

What time are you going to bed the night before though? How much sleep do you get throughout the week? There might be a reason your body wants to catch up on the weekend.

Another big factor would be your activity level during the hours you are awake.

I wouldn't adjust calories based on a few extra hours of sleep on weekends alone.

Studies show that lack of sleep increases appetite, and people who are chronically overtired tend to gorge more--especially on high carb foods to raise seratonin levels.

Surely it would depend more on how many hours you're awake, and what your needs are. If you're someone who looks to take a meal of say 350cal every 3 hours, then do that while you're awake?

I also have an awful sleeping pattern, I work late into the morning, get to sleep about 6 am some days. Then sleep most of the day.
