View Full Version : John should hire a pro-photographer.
akm3 May 30th, 2007, 12:47 PM Hey,
I was thinking about it today, and I realized that John should get a pro-photographer to photograph him once he reaches his 6% goal.
Why: He is reaching it as a goal, then moving to a higher bodyfat maintenance level. Instead of his (very good) personal photos, this would give him some pro, magazine cover looking stuff he could use for marketing and promotion of the JSF brand, perhaps for the cover a BOOK (!!?!) or whatever.
Who knows when eating all the cod and cutting back to 6% will be appealing to him, so document the hell out of it while he can!
This came to me as I was posing with my flab in the mirror and wishing I had taken much better photos of myself when I was in better shape.
Anyway, my 2c.
Who else would want a pro-photographer poster of John at 6% for hanging in the home gym for inspiration?
Wow that sounds... I'm married so just don't go there ok?

I'm sure once your wife wouldn't mind a little sharing, after all it is "John Stone" we're talking about ;)
Bob99 May 31st, 2007, 05:55 PM I asked Mr. Stone if he was considering this in his media gallery thread, but he said that he wasn't thinking about it this year.

Personally, I still think it would be great, but I understand that he might want to do another bulk / cutting cycle first.
I'm reminded of some photos of Arnold in the Encyclopedia of Bodybuilding where he looks great, but then photos from three years later show just how much he's improved his physique. That's why I'd say do some pro photos now, and more next year!
akm3 May 31st, 2007, 06:20 PM Yea, but capture it NOW while you have it:
God forbid he could get in a mercedes accident or something and not be able to train for months and months. (He's had injuries prevent him from making progress before!)
Just my opinion, I of course say that without even knowing the cost of a pro-photographer (Except for wedding and high school photos...)

Well he could always go to the WalMart picture studio.:D
M@ June 1st, 2007, 12:05 AM Dude's got a record of every day of his fitness progress for the past four and a half years, updated as of today. Getting photos taken seems superfluous to say the least.
Besides, it's not like he's lookin' at the goal like the be-all, end-all of progress: Something to look back on when he stops caring and gets sloppy again. It's just the next milestone.
I don't think he should get professional photos taken.
I avow I will give him no end of shit if he does.

But there can be such a difference between 'standing in front of the $299 digital camera' and 'posed and shot by a pro photographer with pro lighting in a pro studio and an ultra-high megapixel camera'.
I get your point though, I just think it's time for John to take some magazine cover quality shots is all.
rtestes June 4th, 2007, 02:15 AM I agree, hire a pro who takes bodybuilding pictures. When you are my age, you can have it hanging over the mantle for everyone to admire, 4' by 6'.
Do it john, you will know when you are ready. Don't wait to long.
