I pack my lunch in the morning, and try to avoid buying anything during work. but I find myself only eating fruit between bigger meals... does anyone have any suggestions on adding a bit of protein, that is practical working a job that is physical and constantly mobile? I cant really bring a tub of cottage cheese or mix myself a shake every day. thanks

If refridgeration is available, there are tons of options including stuff like cooked chicken.
Otherwise, protein powder in a shaker (just add water), jerky, canned chicken, canned turkey, etc.
I end up on job sites a lot, and I can pack 3+ meals in a small cooler along with drinks and some ice packs, and one of those meals is generally a 4 cup spinach salad with grilled chicken. I'll eat most of these meals in the car.

I'm very mobile myself, and get a lot,...A LOT of crap for it, but I take a good sized bag with me everywhere I go,..It's actually a soft sided tackle box for fishing gear, but it's big enough, and has a lot of smaller compartments, that wok out for organizing foods, water, and such,..I keep a can of chicken, green beans, a small tub of protein powder, natty peanut butter, rolled oats, packets of tuna, bag of almonds, splenda, napkins and the like, and of course, and can opener,..:)
The chicken and tuna have a fair amount of salt in it, being packed in a can and packets, but it sure as heck is better than skipping a meal,...

I picked up a shaker from GNC that has a small compartment on the bottom that screws on/off. It is big enough for about 1 to 1-1/2 scoops of protein. I just drink it with water, but you could put milk in the shaker portion and put it in the fridge until ready to use. Just unscrew the bottom, dump the protein in the shaker, shake and drink.
