Alright, I love to drive, but half the time I don't know where I am or where I'm going. Most of all, I HATE maps. Does anyone have a recommendation for a good (and precise) GPS navigation system?
Thanks

I've had a Garmin StreetPilot i3 and it's great. You'd be surprised how accurate it can be, i'll get to where I'm going within 500 feet. It uses a flash card, and it's pretty tiny, but is everything I need. I'm not sure if they make it anymore.

i3 is probably the cheapest ones you can get nowadays at least, I got mine for $200~ or so.

Two good sites I used while researching:

I can tell you this about GPS, unless your buying a surveying quality GPS unit, everything under a grand is about the same, some just have more bells and whistles than others.

I bought the Garmin Streetpilot 550 for my wife and she loves it. It gives traffic reports on her route and suggests alternatives when there are accidents or traffic.

Its also pretty cool because when out, she can type in "Movies" or "Chinese Food" and in seconds it will give her directions to the nearest movie theater or chinese restaraunt. Its a really cool item. She can also play MP3 files and use it as bluetooth hands free phone when driving.

Garmin it is! Just ordered a Streetpilot c530 model. The best part is I can try this thing for 30 days and if I'm not satisfied I can return it for a full refund. I live in a city so finding the location of a place is much harder compared to finding highways. I been meaning to take a road trip across the state for a while, I just hope Garmin gets me there.
