Hey guys,
just a quick question.Do we include macronutrients like protein/fat found in non-protein sources?E.g. it says that there is 8.8g of protein per 100g of brown,5.8g of fat,do we include those?
Thanks,
K

Well, most Nutrition Facts contain a listing of the calories per serving, so use that as a guide.
You may choose to exclude those calories that come from fiber however, as they are not digested (although I'm not sure if the nutrition facts already do this when calculating calories).

The only thing I ignore is the sugar in my coffee. If I drank more then three cups a day I might track that to.

If there's 8.8g of protein in 100 g of something, then it's not a non-protein source. Most foods meals and snack products will be a mix of all three macronutrients, and many natural foods will have a balance of all three as well.

1tsp sugar = 16cals x 3 cups of coffee = 48cals x 7 days = 336cals/wk
I'd track that. Better yet, I'd use splenda.
