Hey guys and gals, just wanted to say hello. I've been hanging around looking on here for a long time (Back since John was doing his original weight loss - yeah, a long time :D). Kinda got inspired a few times before, but always managed to come up with some excuse why I couldn't stick with my plan, blah blah blah, you know the drill.
Anyway, 2 weeks ago I started on the Body for Life plan, after owning the book for about a year and watching it collect dust. I finally pulled it down and read it one day after working in the yard for 30 minutes and being out of breath and feeling like I was 100 years old. Not a good feeling. And definitely a sign of the need for change.
Well after 2 weeks I have lost 4 lbs, which I know is not a lot, but at least its a start. Plus this last weekend, after just 2 weeks of cardio and lifting, I could actually tell (or at least felt like I could tell anyway) a difference when I was out working in the yard this weekend. Maybe its my imagination, but either way, it was certainly a positive reinforcement and encouragement to keep going.
Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself and say hello. I'll consider posting some pics once I can actually see a difference in them, but here is my basic info for now.
Height: 6'-2"
Weight Start: 260
Weight Current: 256
Body Fat: 28.6%
BfL Schedule: Week 3
Goal: Reduce weight to 205 while increasing fitness and lean muscle mass.

Edit: Measured my body fat at the gym at lunch. 28.6% Ow.
