Great job Garthus! I saw in your other thread in the fat loss forum, and you're right - your chest is becomming more defined. But, have you noticed that your quads are also shaping up?
Your gut will probably be the last to go - that's how it's working for me. I was amazed how much fat were on my quads. I didn't notice until I started losing weight - the fat came off the chest and quads first. I'm still working on the gut.
Keep working at it - the waist will smooth out in time. :tu:

good job on the transformation. the change is easily noticeable. By the way, can you edit the pics and resize them to about 1/4 their current size?

I was hoping someone could help me. Can anyone guess how much my body fat looks like right now? and what it looks like i started with? My machine says 24% is that about right? because if it is then my LBM is 200lbs! so i should be aiming for 220.

I like that figure because my whole life I have been told i am very obese because i should weight about 170 lbs or something similar for my height. At least now I can have a realistc figure.

thanks everyone for the contiued support I really wouldnt have got this far if it wasnt for John and this place

It's tough to decide a figure for your body fat, I'd say around 16-18%. Most of the fat is on top of your abs and your legs are pretty defined already!

You seem to have a lot of muscle already so if you cut with minimal muscle loss then you won't need to bulk up much, if at all. Depends on your goal but a lot of guys would be happy with your existing muscle mass.

How tall are you? Excuse me if you've already mentioned it.

I think 170lbs is a little light for someone at 6'2". I'm 5'7" and 155lbs and want more! I think you should aim for over 200lbs. You'll have a better idea further down the line when you've lost more fat.

Good luck!

I would just like to add that today was the best day in ages. When i bought a load of clothes last summer I bought all 38" waist trousers and I thought that i would get some 36" just to try and motivate me. Well today I got into the pair of 36" and it feels sooo good to wear them. I hope that in another months time ill be able to get into 34" - that is the smallest I have been in my enitre adult and was only after I almost died having a burst appendix which went gangrenous (doctor's fault who thought I had wind). That is why I have a big scar on my stomch by the way.

YAY for me :claphigh:

im absolutely jealous of how quickly your legs are developing! from the front view, you go from having smooth blocky legs to having quad separation and a teardrop already, IN A MONTH! awesome job bro!

Thanks mate. I think the reason i have managed such a change is that I do 35 minutes of hard cardio a day with my heart rate starting at 155 getting up to 170 by the time i finish. Then doing at least 1500 metres on the rowing machine at a good pace (yesterday I did 2000 metres in 7:20) Then I go onto my weight session, I do it every day with maybe one day a week off of weights. What can i say I am really really wanting this great body :)

I'd say that 24% is about right for your current pics. You might get some fat calipers and measure yourself that way.

You look very solid for 260lbs - I think you're going to be very pleasantly surprised with how good you'll look in a few months if you continue on your current course. People change most quickly and dramatically by shedding fat, and you're ahead of the game - I sense you have a lot of muscle already, and once your waist shrinks you'll have an awesome shoulder-waist-leg differential.

170something pounds is way too light for you (that's ecto weight at 6'2"); a lean 190-200 (shredded!) and 210-215 (normal) is more like it. As a competitive bodybuilder, of course, you'd probably have to come in minimally at 220.

The weird thing is that I have never ever trained for muscle mass. Im like this naturally. I do go weight training but dont have a set routie, I simply do what feels good that day. Oh and i never had thought of being a proper body builder I just wat to look good. Im aiming now at 235 for june 12 - the day i leave for Kansas for 3 weeks. Then when i get back ill aim to get down to 220 and ripped.

Good job on the fatloss so far!

You have a very solid frame. Did I read correctly that you've not done any formal weight training? Wow. If you want to get big and muscular, you certainly seem to have the genetics to do so. Once you finish cutting a good bulking program will have you looking solid as a rock.
