I was thinking today and I have an interesting question. I have read almost unanimously from many different sources that is is possible to lose between 1 and 3 pounds of fat per week when cutting. I have also read that it is possible to gain 1-1.5 pounds of muscle per week when bulking. I'm currently in a cutting period, but when I'm finished I hate to think of the possibility of gaining a lot of fat when bulking (I know, I know, it's possible to at least keep fat gain to a minimum, but I'm still scared). SO....if the above numbers are correct, would it not be possible to do something like cut for 2-3 weeks, then bulk for 2-3 weeks, etc.? That way, it would seem that it would be very easy to up muscle size and lose fat in a short period of time, especially for those already at a relatively low body fat %? It would also automatically incorporate cycling into your diet, which many bodybuilders swear by. I suppose this would be effective even at like 4 weeks each. However, I know I can't have been the first person to come up with this idea. Any ideas on if it would work? Maybe it will and I can write a book and get rich and famous! (*daydreaming*)
