I am going away on holiday for 10 days tomorrow and was just wondering how any of you guys have coped with going away and not being able to do your regular routines of training and healthy eating. Am going to Spain so healthy food should be in abundance. On other threads some have recommended taking a week off training anyway after 8 weeks of hard graft so I think I will. Hopefully there is a gym nearby.

Just have a good time and while trying not to eat too badly just forget about about fitness for a while. Dont even think about calories or fat content and just have some fun. Then when you return youll more excited than ever to get back into it. :db:

i went to the beach in january, i tried as hard as i could to eat clean, and mostly i did, but sometimes it was just cheaper to eat a couple of sausages, however i was very active while i was there, so there was no damage done!

Yeah, I've heard that swimming in the surf is one of the best forms of cardio in that you burn heaps of energy.

iceberg,

offset it by doing really active tourist activities. Try running with the bulls, now thats gotta be excellent cardio, youd probably get close to breaking the 400m world record. :spaz:

I'll be going on holiday soon enough, for 7 days with 5 or 6 other friends, so as you may expect, we're going to be doing a lot of drinking.
I'm going to try my best to eat well and go running every morning, myself. Holidays are Holidays, in my mind, a time to relax and take some sort of a break.
