Hey,

Recently I went on a major weight-loss streak, I lost a lot of pounds (210-140), but I think most of it was muscle! I'm down to 140 and still have fat on me. Not sure about my height, maybe 5'7 or 5'8?. Any ideas on what I should do?

How did you lose it? Diet-wise? Exercise-wise?

Something tells me you didn't weight train and if you did it wasn't an effective plan.

It was a diet/exercise type deal. I went jogging nearly every night, and limited my calories so I wouldn't eat a lot of crap.

trey-trey,
While I didn't lose 70 pounds, about 6 years ago, I lost 45 pounds running daily and eating a strict vegetarian diet. I wound up in the same spot. I was thinner and looked better in clothes, but I was still very flabby. What many call "skinny-fat." I fell off the wagon like many do and gained it all back and then some.

This time around, I'm focused on diet and weight training. I do very little cardio. My weight loss progress is still good, but I can already tell that I'm going to like the results a lot better this time. The parts of my body that are leaning out first look a lot better and more 'fit,' for lack of a better word.

Weight training burns a lot of calories, not only while lifting, but afterward as your muscles rebuild and grow. And the muscle you put on will raise your metabolism, improving your ability to burn fat.

Find a good weight training program and a sensible diet. I think you'll like the results a lot better.

Cardio doesn't' build muscle. Start an effective weight training program, move calories to a maintenance level, stop losing weight. Since you have your cardio up to speed, don't do it. Just weight train. What weight resources do you have? Expand your answers if you want people to expand theirs.
