Hello,
Which Multivitamin should I buy?
Currently I'm using GNC mega men dietary supplement and I'm getting low so I need to buy something soon.
Which Omega 3/fish oil pill should I buy?
I have never taken these before so I need some help.

I do have a General Nutrition Center (GNC) down the street from me so any good products they sell would be good to know about.

For Multi, I use AST Multi-Pro 32x. For fish oil, I use Biotest Flameout but going to add Carlson's Liquid fish oil on top of that since I want to experiment with Poliquin's mega-dose fish oil protocol. They're all great products.

I'm in the process of looking for a new multi-vitamin my self, but you can't beat Sam's Club EFA capsules.

Ah, the Great Multivitamin Debate. If you do a search you'll find countless threads on which multi to use, whether pharmaceutical grades are actually better than Centrum, whether you should simply focus on getting your vitamins through whole foods, etc., etc.

I've been using USANA Essentials for the last year. It's a 3-doses-a-day pharmaceutical grade multi. It's also expensive. There was also some recent hoopla over USANA's marketing/associates program. Despite whatever your feelings are on that, the vitamin itself seems pretty damn solid. One of our JSF co-members is associated with USANA, and I trust this member's opinion on the quality of the vitamin in addition to my own research.

I have been looking at alternatives out of curosity. I'm tempted to try Centrum to see if I feel any noticeable difference. I'm also tempted to try one of the other "designer" multis for the same reason. John recently switched his multi from Universal's Animal Pak to Beverly's Super Pak. See his news post here (I don't mean to suggest an endorsement on these products, just mentioning the other designer alternatives):

As for fish oil, I'm using Carlson soft gels after someone (Justitia, I think?) mentioned that they test it for low levels of mercury.

Definitely give the search a try, you'll find a lot of good information.

For fish oil....the container should state it's heavy metal tested and ideally it should have a high EPA and DHA content.

as fora multi. YMMV and nothing replaces good nutrition. For many people, it just means expensive pee but for others that are coming from poor nutrition, lacking in a variety of vegetables, or perhaps cutting, or looking for extra insurance, it may have a place. If looking at centrum brand and resistance training, centrum silver will give you more bang for the buck.

Me, I take Quest Super once a day.
