Hi all. I've been reading a few posts and thought it might be a good idea to introduce myself and tell alittle about me. Hopefully I'll look back on the post in the future and be glad I'm finally making this decision.
First off, I am 32 years old and am 5'10" and roughly 135. Needless to say I feel I am too thin and after all these years (I have never been over 140), I'd like to put some weight on. At this point, my overall goal is to get in the 160's.
I have never worked out regularly so this is all completely new to me. At this point, I am planning to start changing how I eat and working out within the first 2 weeks of May since I have vacation. Up until that point, I'd like to do some "research" and figure out roughly how much and what I should eat and what my workouts should include. I should also mention that I am about a pack a day smoker and that is coming to an end also. At this point, I am very healthy, but I don't want to push my luck any further. I work at UPS as a driver and I could see changes like this helping me tremondously with handling the packages and giving the energy I need for the long days.
At this time, I don't want to ask any questions just yet. I'm still doing a lot of reading and I'd also like to check out some gyms in my area and see how that goes. I'll probably get many simple questions answered in both ways. I've already found the forum and website has tons of good info. In the next week I'd like to take some pictures of myself along with measurements for my baseline.
Wish me luck on this. God knows I'm tired of being the "little guy" for the last 15 years (not to mention that the smoking is getting really old).
