Hi everyone

I've been lurking for some time and finally decided to create an account. I guess my story is no different than many others. I'm 40, 6'0 250lbs. I started smoking again after quitting for several years. My doctor has me on blood pressure and cholesterol pills and has been nagging me for months to lose weight. I keep telling him that I will but the truth is that I haven't made any attempt. I've reached the point that I have to do something about my life. My closet has several sizes of clothes and my fat clothes are starting to get tight. I went to a store the other night to look for some dress shirts for work and couldn't find anything that fit :( The salesgirl suggested I try the Big and Tall store  I know that something has to change. My goal at this point is to get myself into the gym a few times a week and try to develop a diet. I hope that I can find the answers and knowledge here.

The answers and knowledge are here. But....only you can provide the determination and desire to succeed. It comes down to "How bad do you want it?" If you really want this, then nothing and no one will stand in your way. :tu:

As Mastover said we have answers, many. You are the determing factor. Now is the time to do something, it don't get easier in the future. It can get way worse.
