So yah, I just discovered this site today, and i've been thinking about getting into shape lately, i'm not overweight, i'm currently 16 years old and am 5'7 inches tall and weigh just under 140 pounds, but I wanna see that six pack again!

So starting tommorow morning i'm gonna do a 30 minute jog daily at least 5 times a week, which should burn roughly 300-400 calories.

But because i'm a teenager I was wondering how many calories a day I should be eating without having to see a docter, so if anyone here could gimme some numbers that'd be great! Thanks in advance!:)

Hey, read the stickies at the top and work out your Daily calorie intake. Since you're 16(as I am ^^) I'd say just eat your normal calorie intake, and leave for a few weeks and then adjust accordingly. Also mabye lift some weights, as it helps for fat loss.

Agreed that reading the stickies should help. Be careful with undereating at your age. If I were you I would be eating quite a bit and lifting consistently. But your goals are your goals and I can't tell you what to do.

If you want to see your abs you're going to have to lower your body fat by eating a clean diet. Even though you're doing cardio, your diet will make or break your effort in achieving a lower body fat. Personally, I've never really keyed in on a certain amount of Calories to consistently eat, but instead, focused on eating the right foods depending on my goals at the time.

I also recommend you weight train. You can keep the exercises pretty basic and still achieve pretty good results.
