Protein powder + milk + shaker = Froth full of protein

How do you drink these? is it better to stir instead? or just use water?

 Such a noob question

i just bought my first bag of whey protien mix last week and i've had it twice so far. do you have a blender? i take mine at night (after i work out & before bed) and i put the 6 oz. milk + 1 scoop of "cookies & cream" mix into a blender, blend it, then pour it straight into a cup and CHUG it. the first time i had it i sipped it, but it started tasting pretty nasty at the end and i couldn't finish it that way. I can chug fast so that just seemed to be the best thing to do - then i go & brush my teeth right after i finish it to get the taste out of my mouth

if you have to do it with a shaker, all i can recommend is spooning off the froth until you get to the liquid.

Yeah, I could prolly get used to the taste, I just can't slam it all down tho cause of all the thick froth. I had to use a straw and suck up the liquid then let it sit and repeat.

(It actually sounds extra lame when typing this, not so bad at the time)

This thread gets my funny stamp of aproval!

I usually know when im going to be eating/drinking what, so I make my protein shakes at least a half hour ahead of time and put them in the fridge. I make most of them with water so its not usually an issue, but when I use milk that seems to work.

I also use a straw to drink and mix it up a little before each sip. Seems to keep everything blended. I also have a little Magic Bullet blender at work so I can mix my shakes with ice and that makes them colder and smoother and easier to drink than just mixed in a shaker with cold water.
