I know this is a dumb subject, but I do want to know what yall do about this... I have answers to my questions, but I do want to see what everyone else does. For example the last few days before a competition, what do you do to keep your body from retaining water and getting rid of the last bit of water in your system.

unless you're sub 8% losing water weight isn't going to do anything.

Alright, i'll assume you are. If you're on creatine stop 5 weeks before you plan on going to the beach. If you're not on creatine then don't start now. Wait 7 days before you go to the beach. 7 days until you go, start a loading phase of creatine. 20-25 grams a day. when you fly/drive/whatever take along some creatine and drop it to 6-7 grams a day. Drink lots and lots of water. Try to stay away from sodium and keep carbos down. (like hopefully less than 100 grams a day).

This method is what body builders use during their contests so you can ensure that it works.

why do you need to lose water weight

it doesnt really count for the weekly or daily drop in your weight. If you measure yourself fully clothed for winter, then 5 seconds later totally nude, you didnt just drop 10lbs. :D

Just kidding. I'm class of 76 and I know exactly how much alcohol flows in College Station.

Buy some leeches and slap 'em on all over your body. I guarantee you will lose substantial amounts of water weight.

p.s. you might lose some blood weight too ;-)

Dammit! Back to square one...

To lose water, you could always take in A LOT of sodium. Of course, this would have to be as well as NOT drinking anything. Having a high level of sodium in your blood stream will cause your cells to take the sodium in and expell water at the same time. This is in no way healthy, and I won't take responsibility for the side effects, but you're sure to lose water, if only temporary...
