Getting low on my Muscle Milk which I love to death, but I would like to maybe try something with less fat. I am going to just get a smaller can for now to make sure that I like it and then will probably order more a little later in the month. Thanks!

#1) MuscleMilk is not protein powder, it's a MRP so yes, high in fat and carbs

#2) $30 because that's what you can afford or are you more concerned about price per pound? We could readily recommend several great products in that price range but the amounts might vary gretaly.

For a decent product and good price per pound, $29 for 5lbs of ON is usually a deal. (http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/opt/whey.html) That's 24g protein per serving or just about 41 cents a serving.

Nitrean (http://atlargenutrition.com/nutrition_detail.php?products_id=1) is a good product and a sponsor here. About 54 cents per serving and also 24g protein per serving.

I get mine custom from True Protein (http://www.trueprotein.com/custom_product.aspx). Cheap whey concentrate, 5lbs, $23, 31 cents a serving... but for "better" wheys like cold-filtered isolates... you can get 5lbs for about 41 cents per, but with 27g protein per serving.

I did not take shipping into acount on the cost per serving

You can get a 5lb tub of Dymatize Elite Whey off of DPS Nutrition for just under $30 shipped, if I recall.

True Protein is quality, but the shipping is costly (minimum $10 or so), so it's cheaper if you want larger quantities. I would say spring for some Nitrean for the extra money. It'll last you a while.

You'd need to prove that, truly. No offense to Nitrean. I do think it's a quality product. Just as is the quality of the grades from TP. And when you build the right blend for your needs...
