I was referred here by the guys in the weight lifting forum to keep a journal throughout my journey. I guess I can start with my stats.

23 Years Old
6'2"
284.4 lbs

I am getting married in 6 weeks and while I know I can do little to be in shape by the wedding, I must start somewhere. My weight has been up and down for years and I am ready to put it off for good. I am following the Abs Diet and doing a workout put together by rtestes of the forum. Tonight is my first workout:

Squat
Calf Raise
Stiff Legged Deadlift
BentOver Row
Bicep Curl
Crunch
Shoulder Shrugg
Shoulder Press
Bench Press
Pullover
Tricep Extension

I am doing one set of each until near failure. Resting 30 seconds in between sets. Also, I am going to go for 20 minutes on the eliptical for a warmup. I will report back tomorrow on how it goes.

Have a good night!

Last night was my first workout and let me tell you...this morning by back is sore. I think the deadlifts were the most intense of all. I really went to failure on those. On most all else of the exercises, I could do 12 reps so I will be increasing my weight by 10%. My eating was good yesterday except that I got trapped at work yesterday for lunch. We went to Subway and I had a 12 inch grilled chicken with lettuce, pickles, and fat free sweet onion sauce. I think that might have hurt me. I was up .2 lbs this morning. Anyone have an experience with a gain this early? I expected to drop some after last nights workout and the fact that I am so overweight. Anyway, back in the gym tonight!

Weight:284.6 +.2

I'd guess it's probably the salt from the Subway. How's the water intake?

I think I remember you from the men's health bb. Weren't you a member on it? Seem to remember a thread you created with a bit of a messed up subject that caused a lot of laughs?

Wow, those were the days. That was back when I had lost all my weight and I was doing so well on the belly off board.

The subject title was:

"well I am doing guys"

Unbelievable. Those were the good ole days. I can't believe that you remember that!

Yep I remember that thread pretty well. I think the title was supposed to be "well I am doing good guys". Missing one word really made a difference.

A bunch of the guys from BOC are members on http://www.FitToBeMen.com. A while back they had a thread quoting some of the funniest things from the BOC and yours was on there. I think they even linked to the original. Cracked me up reading through that again.

Keep posting on here as often as you can (both good and bad). It'll hold you accountable and you'll have a much easier time keeping yourself on track. I subscribed to this so I'll be keeping an eye on you. :read:
