View Full Version : Bulking with little fat gain?

I finished my cut back in October 2006 starting at 235lbs going down to 195lbs. Since then i've pretty much stayed at maintaince levels to get a feel for things. I'm currently 201lbs at %12 BF (guessing) and 6'4.

I want to put on around 10-20lbs of muscle but don't want to put on as little fat as possible. I read somewhere about people "bulking" for a short period of time 1-2 weeks (very clean) and then cutting any fat gained for 1-2 weeks and repeat. Would something like that work? Can the body adjust between bulking and cutting like that and still be effective?

research "carb timing" or "carb cycling". With proper use of either, you can maintain relative leaness and gain, even while eating near maintenance levels.
