From what I've read, a lot of people recommend Salmon, does that mean other random kinds aren't good? Basically what I want to know is, are Fish in general good or should I stick to specific kinds.
Thank you.

Generally speaking, fish is a low-fat source of protein. Salmon and many other fishes have a lot of really good fat, too.
Salmon and tuna are the two I eat most often -- I love the tuna! It's cheap, very low in fat, and you can do so much with it. :eat:

Pretty much all fish is good. I like the whitefish varieties (Cod, Tilipia, Haddock, Trout) mostly. Salmon is good too.

I prefer fresh salmon over tuna due to mercury potential (http://www.cfsan.fda.gov/%7Efrf/sea-mehg.html). I've recently been using frozen precooked shrimp in a lot of things (omelets and stir fries). It took a little bit of scouting, but I found a brand at Safeway that is ~relatively~ low in sodium. Great little protein punch in just a handful of those things.
Check out the fish/seafood listed here too: http://www.whfoods.com/foodstoc.php
