Luke.S Mon, April 12th, 2004, 11:38 PM Ta very much. My next question is about caffiene, does it give your metabolism a bit of a boost?. Bunko Tue, April 13th, 2004, 09:01 AM See green tea is one of those things that if it was marketed on tv with some informercials, you would not buy it because it would sound too good to be true. (Looking at the bb.com link I cannot see why people would take a pill with some green tea extract rather than just drinking the actual tea itself  ) Justin Tue, April 13th, 2004, 09:57 AM See green tea is one of those things that if it was marketed on tv with some informercials, you would not buy it because it would sound too good to be true. (Looking at the bb.com link I cannot see why people would take a pill with some green tea extract rather than just drinking the actual tea itself  ) Because some of us can't stand tea. ;) Actually, my cereal has green tea extract (100mg per serving). Luke.S Tue, April 13th, 2004, 05:12 PM Grean Tea is well nice, I find it thurst quensing. I can't remember who does it but they make green tea and lemon extract, georgeous stuff. Trydent Tue, April 13th, 2004, 09:26 PM If you look. Reading that makes me wanna go out and buy a big ol' box of it right now ;) taffer Wed, April 14th, 2004, 06:01 AM i try to drink 3 cups a day, although im on holidays now, so its alot easier, when i am at school i can only usually fit in 1 in the morning, although im going to make a good effort to drink more! Stanzo Wed, April 14th, 2004, 06:04 AM Does it make any differance to the "goodness" of green tea if you have it hot or cold ? harry.michaels Wed, April 14th, 2004, 07:52 AM No, drinking it cold still has all the benefits. Just prepare it hot and add some cold water. That's what I do when I don't feel like drinking hot drinks in the middle of the day. The taste is quite bitter, however, so I add a bit of Splenda. Bunko Wed, April 14th, 2004, 09:11 AM Because some of us can't stand tea. ;) I hear you, I used to not like tea at all. What I found was that once you start drinking it, it actually grows on you and now I actually like the taste quite a lot. djerickd Wed, April 14th, 2004, 12:05 PM It's great with honey, cinnamon and lemon :D Obscura Wed, April 14th, 2004, 12:17 PM Tea should be unsweetened and coffee should be black. Also note: Decaf is the Devil's brew. zerotime Wed, April 14th, 2004, 11:40 PM I bought a box of Lipton Green Tea today and drank about 10 cups throughout the day :D Very good stuff. Good to know that it's actually beneficial to drink it and that there really isn't a limit :P xlr8ed Wed, April 14th, 2004, 11:58 PM I hate sugar in tea! I always use honey. How bad is honey? Championlifter88 Wed, April 28th, 2004, 10:20 PM hows does green tea help... does is speed up ur metabolism... also what i dont understand the whole definition of metablosim what is it?? is it how fast u burn calories or suttin explain please for my dumb self :( lol Bunko Wed, April 28th, 2004, 11:44 PM hows does green tea help... does is speed up ur metabolism... also what i dont understand the whole definition of metablosim what is it?? is it how fast u burn calories or suttin explain please for my dumb self :( lol Well, yes and yes :) One thing that green tea does is burns up some fat and wastes this energy as heat. They call it thermogenesis. The bad news is that this energy is wasted, all you get is some extra heat produced. The good news is that there is extra energy wasted, so you basically burn more energy "free". Other than this, green tea has a bunch of antioxidants and other "stuff" it in that makes it really healthy. tiller Thu, April 29th, 2004, 12:53 AM great I guess i now have a subisuit for my morning coffee.. :) Championlifter88 Thu, April 29th, 2004, 10:38 AM i tried gree tea last night and it smelled grose lol |
