Hi everyone,

Big fan of the site, thought I would register with my story and progress, well here goes...

Around mid December 2006 I was at my limit, 23 years of age, 15st(210lbs), around 23% bodyfat and really unhappy with life (I took pics to motivate myself so I will post these soon). With the festive season looming I could imagine the christmas and new years photo's already, me plumped in there looking glum and forcing a smile amongst family and friends, really wishing I was at home or somewhere else, or even better 3 stone lighter lol... Knowing fine ritely I would look terrible in the pics.

So I told myself, "this is the last time!" I didn't want to feel like this anymore, i wanted to lift my confidence and fell good about myself. I got angry, which in turn got me motivated!

I found this Page and examined some of the info on how John was able to find the remarkable form he is in now!! (THANK YOU JOHN!)

So along with a friend, We started soon after new years and soon got into a great routine of fitness, healthy eating and better lifestyle... currently my daily routine consists of

6.45am - Protein Shake
7am - Gym, cardio for 45mins (burning on average 600cals)
9am - enter work, bowl of cornflakes/allbran - skimmed milk
11am - apple, pint of water
1pm - sandwhich on wholegrain from shop, usually something with chicken or tuna from local shop, with a banana and pint of water... (sometimes a 6inch club subway with no cheese and v little sauce)
3pm - apple, pint of water
5pm - Stir fry / chicken with low fat sauce and brown rice / 2 wholegrain toast with 4-5 eggwhites
7-8pm - gym, cardio for around 30mins 20mins of weights
protein shake shortly after.

At present I have dropped from 208lbs to around 185lbs in the space of around 2months, which i'm quite pleased with, my confidence is climbing, I'm fitter and I feel... well... better about myself! I have bf% from tanita scales at home so will post them later as I'm in work at the moment.

But, I still think i have along way to go... and I'm not going to stop here. I was wondering If what i'm doing above is ideal for somebody looking to really cut down.

thanks to anybody who reads this, any advice would be fantastic

I'm pretty new, so maybe someone else can help..but this is what I think

1-ok
2-I would change to rolled oats instead of the cereal. Also can you add some protein? I usually have 2 Hard boiled eggs
3-ok
4-ok, but I have found that it is better if you can make your own food. Example, I used to eat protein bars as a quick meal, but upon discussing it here, there is so much "fillers" involved with pre-made food. If you really trust the shop, then go for it.
5-Instead of an apple, try raw brocoli or other fiberou veggie, red or yellow peppers etc. Are you getting enough healthy fat? You can "dress" your veggies with a little flax seed oil or EVOO
Diner ok
Post workout ok

Seems like you are on the right track. Keep it up. It seems to be working for you, but as you get closer to your goal, I think that it will get harder and cutting out the excess sugars (ie serial and milk, banana) will make it easier.

:gl: and keep it up. Like I said, you have already made great progress. Keep it up.

Oh I forgot to add,

if you can drink water throughout the day instead of just at the meals, that would be best.
