Hello everyone.

Things are going well so far, after a confusing start, I'm slowly improving and getting a bit stronger I noticed. I'm taking a bit of protein each day, and after exercising as well. I've got down to two full body weight days, and then one day of exercise biking. Usually I stick to 3 sets of 8 on most exercises, but that depends on the exercise of course. I just recently found out that you want to do MORE than one exercise per muscle area, something I didn't know, so I'm trying to change my routine to adapt to this and continue to improve.

Therefore, going from this, I am trying to find out other exercises, names, and for later when I go overseas in a couple months, what free weight and dumbbell exercises I might be able to do. I'm quite ignorant of muscle groups, names of exercises, explanations of technique, and options available, so I was curious if anyone knew of a site, or other places where I can find information for putting together a workout that is more effective. I checked this site, but was unable to find much; however I may have missed it

Thank you very much as always.

Not necessarily true. If you are doing a full body workout, you just try to hit all the major groups for your planned sets/reps. That can be made up one one or more exercise. So, in your scheme, you might do exercise A for 2 sets of 8, then finish with a different exercise for a set. That's not necessary as a beginner if you keep mixing up your exercises periodically.

Generally, 5-7 exercises would make up a good workout in a full body plan if you didn't break down into multiple exercises per body part.

If you are doing a "split" where you do muscle groups only once a week or so, yeah, you might hit a body part with several exercises.

I'd suggest you stay full body for awhile at least until you get a good base.

Thanks for the links and advice as always guys. I'm looking at a few exercises to throw in to try to make my work out more well rounded for full body, then I'll consider splitting after I get to that point later.
