The idea behind fasted cardio is that your insulin levels are low and your glycogen levels are depleted. However, how does the glycogen get depleted from your sleep? You arn't doing anything in this 7 hourish span.

I've been trying to find the answer but all I could find was that the glycogen stores in your brain are replenished after a good night's rest? So can anyone link me to a site that will explain this? preferably one that is credible.

Thanks.

It's more complicated than that. I would say do a lot more reading on nutrition and physiology.

Alan Aragon wrote a pretty convincing article on the subject recently:

In short, if you're a beginner, fasted cardio might be preferred. If you're trained, it really doesn't matter either way.
