HevyMetal Tue, February 27th, 2007, 03:06 PM Yes....I use both. Not going to get into Smith-bashing here or the pro's and cons of using either method. Just going to answer your question :) chicanerous Tue, February 27th, 2007, 03:10 PM Not going to get into Smith-bashing here or the pro's and cons of using either method. Just going to answer your question :) Yeah, it's been covered ad nauseum. A search of the forum will yield more than enough material for one to formulate their own opinions about the merit of the machine. mastover Tue, February 27th, 2007, 04:54 PM Even better than a search would be to experiment with two macrocycles using free weight squats in one, and smith squats in another. The squat is a total body exercise so be sure to take stats (weight, bodyfat, strength levels in other lifts, bodypart measurements) before and after, say a 12 week routine of both. Then base your opinion.
