Technically 2 separate things :) I've personally used the Turbo Tax products and they've worked well for me (>$52K AGI). Free filing. I've used Turbo Tax in the past also (Freedom Edition), but neither it nor several other programs allows e-filing for free if AGI is greater than $52K. Of course it won't tell you this until you are completely finished  Every little bit helps. DonCT Thu, February 1st, 2007, 03:07 AM Are you sure the "Free" edition of Turbo Tax charges for e-file? According to their site, you can e-file your federal return for free. Of course you'll have to pay for you state return, but you can always just print that one out and mail it. They're usually smaller anyways:cool: Bongo Thu, February 1st, 2007, 03:11 AM Does anyone know of any free tax filing sites for AGI above $52,000? Thanks! I believe you are referring to "Free File," which this year caps out at 52k (about 70% of all tax payers). To get free e-filing for above 52k generally requires buying software. However, I believe Taxact offers free e-filing for any AGI. The program generally rates at the top with the popular Taxcut and Turbotax. programs.:tucool: Keep in mind this refers to the federal side, states vary, as not all states offer e-file, let alone for free:( try taxact.com or taxactonline.com DonCT Thu, February 1st, 2007, 03:16 AM Hey, that's good info to know. Guess I've never paid attention to the free efile cap. Devery Fri, February 2nd, 2007, 02:37 AM Thxs a lot for the info Bongo. TaxAct Standard is free, but they do inquire about upgrading several times along the way, and threw in a few commercials. PS...Since I'm military and a PA resident, no state tax filing for me :-) Makes it very simple come tax season. DonCT Fri, February 2nd, 2007, 03:02 AM Lucky you!!
