I popped my shoulder joint last weekend pretty badly, and all this past week I have refrained from any lifting because of it. Whenver I rotate my arm around, I can feel the socket grinding, and it was pretty painful at some points in the rotation. After a week of rest it has gotten much better. There is still some noticable grinding, but nothing like it was earlier, and the pain is very minor, and only when I try to find trouble spots in my arm's motion. I figure I will still wait until there is no grinding/pain whatsoever before I start lifting again, but I was curious how long after all pain/noise subsides should I wait? Any ideas? I would think maybe a week after all noticeable grinding/pain have subsided would be pretty good, and then ease back into the lifting and pay close attention to it for the next week or two? Does that sound reasonable?
