Ok, i'm starting this thread so you all share one shake you enjoy, tastes good and is healthy

The kind of shakes you whip up early in the morning and head to work or school when you dont have enough time....

Mine is this

One banana medium
One cup skim milk
A splash of vainilla
2 1/2 Tbs. of Oats or Crusli
One strawberry, or a bunch of blueberries.

One scoop of prefered whey supplement optional.

This will get you going and wont make you hungry for about 2-3 hours.

OK, now i have a suggestion, as jeremy says, can we do "shakes-i-will-make-for-the-rest-of-my-life-im-not-rich-cant-afford-whey-all-my-life" kind of shakes???

I mean with fruits? maybe juice, cereals? etc...

Morning Shake (everyday)
1 scoop of GNC 100% Whey
1 teaspoon of Glutamine (Morning after work out days)
10-12 oz of Water
1 Large Banana
4 ice cubes

Post Workout Shake (4 days/week)
1 scoop of GNC 100% Whey
1 teaspoon of Glutamine
10-12 oz of Water
1 Large Banana
4 ice cubes
1 teaspoon of Creatine
.5 tablespoon of Dextrose

Since I'm cutting right now, I'm trying to cut out that banana in the morning shakes but my shake tastes so damn good with banana that I don't think I can go back to the whey + water combo. Any suggestions?

What's the dextrose do for you in that shake?

From what I've learned, it spikes your insulin level and the nutrients "ride" the insulin into the muscle cells for faster recovery.

I also only use Dextrose (in the form of powdered Powerade) PWO.

Change protein. I think certain brands/flavors taste and mix better with water. GNC is not one of them. Then again this is a matter of taste.

1 scoop of Optimum Vanilla Whey
4 tbsp of Powdered Gatorade (Lemon-Lime)

Decent post workout. Have to use the gatorade until it is gone since I stopped drinking it casually.

1 scoop of Unflavored Whey (not really unflavored)
2-4oz. of CranGrape Juice

I started making this because I was looking for a shake with a about equal amount of protein:carb. Not big on fruit juice (too much sugar) but it ended up tasting pretty good.

i usually just mix oats, water and whey in a bowl and eat, but when i do make a shake (running late) i just blend the oats in my coffee grinder, and throw everything in a shaker! sometimes its hard to belive there is about 350cal's in a shake!

Ok, I have tried both the vanilla and chocolate ATW with water....I can not stand this. I am using skim milk right now but would love to cut out the calories it adds. Any suggestions to make the ATW taste any better with water?
