I will be moving to Birmingham, Alabama soon, and i've been looking on the web for a gym to join. I don't see that i'm familiar with except for the YMCA. Any recommendations?

I travel a fair amount and I've worked out at the YMCA gym in Mountain Brook close to Hwy 280. Decently stocked, a couple of power racks, a squat rack, trap bar, glute ham machine lots of free weights as well. I also remember seeing a bunch of machines. I don't know what they charge since the hotel comp'd the visit.
Ask for a week pass to check it out.
