Here's a video of my top set today on rack split jerks -- 110 kg (242 lbs) at 77 kg bodyweight:

Problems: I need to get under faster and take better advantage of the split position as well as increase my leg strength.

Is this at your high school gym or did you find a place at the university one with bumper plates?

That's a biiiiiiiig lift.

My high school gym -- I'm home for the weekend partly to get a haircut, but mostly to get a couple videos since I've been saying that I would. :tu:

That's very nicely done. Smooth and fast. Got any other vids?

Nice lift. I think you are right about getting down quicker, but it's still a nice lift.

I don't even really need one since I'm trying to grow my hair out further, but it's a good excuse to come home. I thought I needed one last week after a string of bad hair days, but now as it gets closer and closer to the day of the haircut my hair is, of course, looking better and better. :bang: I just got it cut last month.

I have a lighter rack jerk set, but I didn't upload it. I think I'm going to get one of whatever my lower ME lift is tomorrow afternoon -- probably a back squat.

Awesome. I'll look forward to it. I'm trying to get some footage of my squatting done soon.

110 kg (242 lbs) at bodyweight 77 kg (170 lbs).

Plates were 20 kg + 15 kg + 10 kg per side.

Nice job man :tucool:. I never liked the split jerk, never very smooth at it, I usually just push press, and thats a little above my push press max =P.

Man, you're strong as an ox!:claphigh: I wish I could get to your level someday.
That lift was humongous.
P.S. Why did you change your avatar (the back pic)? It rocked.

chic, that lift is further evidence that whatever you put your focus into, you would excel at....Powerlifting, bodybuilding, strongman comps, and even Olympic lifts. :tucool:

Also, can you clean that much?

No. My best power clean is around 90-95 kg. Technique is part of the issue, but leg strength is also a factor.

Hehe, I'm the opposite of you, I can regular clean from the ground 250-260, but, because I suck at the jerk, can only jerk 220-225 .

Of course for the last two weeks I can't squat, deadlift, clean, anything, due to pulling a muscle in my lower back :nono:. Who'd have thunk shovelling 5 feet of snow was strenuous.

that was awesome chico. Your gym is so cool. All that space. The gym I use has 1 squat rack and 1 cage, and no Olympic lifting allowed. I probably would't even be allowed to do a push press.
