I do hope the radiologists answers are more possitive than the radiologists assumptions. The radiologists in Norway are not allowed to make any assumptions about the xrays, MRIs or CTs, since they do not have the ful education to analyse them, and therefore may come up with wrong answers to the patient (or nurse following the patient.)

May I ask whether you got the hernia during weight lifting? (Please overlook this question if you find it too personal, that is not my intention.) I know that lifting heavy objects may cause hernia, espesically if you are not aware of how heavy the object is. I have heard it hurts very much....

Whatever cause, I wish you good luck and get well soon, and hope for fast recovery with both shoulder (when they find out what's the problem) and hernia!!! :tu:

Thanks. :) I still have not heard from the doctor, so I called and his nurse told me that my MRI results are on his desk waiting to be reviewed. His nurse, like the MRI tech, is not supposed to discuss the results with me in any way, but she (like the MRI tech) did anyway. ;) She said she didn't see any major abnormalities(?!), but the doctor would be the one to speak to about that. It's after 5:00 PM now, and I think everyone is off tomorrow for Good Friday (well, I'm not off!) so it will most likely be Monday before I know more. I'm taking what she said with a grain of salt, but it did make me feel a little better...

As for my hernia, I don't know what caused it. It may be genetic and was just a matter of time, as my dad had 2 of them. The pain is not too bad, just kind of aches. It's not strangulated or anything like that.

Not to be dense (and I could just google it), but could you explain what this type of hernia is, and what it... does? like how does it affect your workouts

My sister was a trainer in highschool and college, and even if a kid came off the field with his forearm bent in two, they couldn't say it was broken...

Doesn't really effect my leg or cardio workouts (yet). Untreated it would.
