This is pretty weird. Everytime I go on a cheat day, my lips chap in the cold winter weather. Whenever I resume my cutting nutrition plan (consisting of lean proteins, complex starchy carbs, fibrous carbs i.e. veggies, and good fats), my lips don't chap.
Is it just me or does lip chapping occur due to malnutrition?

This is just a shot in the dark, but maybe it has to do with higher salt intake on cheat days?
I'm interested to hear what others with more nutritional knowledge suggest as a cause.

For you it may very well be. For me, I simply get chapped lips in the cold, I had them with poor nutrition and I have them now with good nutrition. For me, chapped lips ar due to lack of using my chapstick.

I just read that a deficiency in Vit-B2 can cause chapped lips
and cracks at the corners of your mouth.

Ahh that's probably what's going on for me then. My cheat meals don't have a lot of veggies.

You don't develop B12 deficiencies in one cheat day / cheat meal.
I think its psychosomatic :tu:

Slight dehydratation. In very dry climates, even slight lack of water for a couple of hours means I have to break out the chapstick.
I always have one on hand.
