Hello to all.
I am beginning a cut phase and will be frequenting this site for tips and motivation.
I'm 180cm, 73kg, 12% body fat. My initial goal is to cut to 7%, then begin a bulking phase.
This is a great site and I've gained a lot of useful info browsing around.

Welcome to JSF. Glad you're here. Cutting to 7%? Sounds like you've come to the right place. A lot of us here are cutting, and it helps to do it together. Where are you now?

Thanks a lot. I'm in Bangkok, Thailand now. My job takes me between here and Tokyo, Japan. I'm trying to come up with a nutrition plan that will limit the amount of white rice I eat. :)

Hey farang (hilarious name, btw), I'm currently in Thailand myself for work and will be in Chiang Mai for the next two months (until mid-april). I started JSF cutting in early 2006 (in the USA), lost 45 lbs, then started bulking until January, got nice and swole out, and then left for Thailand for three months. I figured I'd do my second cutting once I got here but I'm finding it impossible to get enough protein in my diet! I've already gone through all of my protein bars and powder I brought with me and that's even doing only 25%-30% protein (rather than 40%)! And logging Thai food is next to impossible, due to the fact that only half the stuff has the nutrition contents on it (in Thai -- but I can read the important words now), and forget about restaurants.
How are you planning on getting enough protein for your cut? I've been living on the Taro woven fish snack since I ran out of power bars but I don't know what the grams of protein are on those as they aren't listed (but they are mostly fish meat -- so they're the best I can find), not even in Thai on the website.
I'm not making enough headway in my cut and can see myself (in the mirror) losing muscle/gaining fat, even though I'm eating as little carbs as I can manage (which is very difficult when everything is rice, rice, rice!) and still remain conscious, and do workouts in my hostel room.
If you find a protein source PLEASE SHARE IT WITH ME. I'm quickly turning back into my skinny-pudgy pre-JSF self here in the land of smiles.

Yes, that's a problem. As for logging food, I just make an educated guess most of the time. I'll pm you.
