Hello All,
Let's see were to begin, i suppose a little bit of background information would be the correct starting point. I am 16 years old, and I am about to graduate high school. I have been big most of my life, and now I am at my biggest. I have spent the last few years of my life getting very fat, and unhealthy.
I am a very antisocial person so I have to force myself to get out, and it's all due to me being over weight, because I am very self conscious. Not to mention I have asthma, and being overweight doesn't help it at all.

I am about 5'6 and I weigh 218-219. If I were to guess i would say I have about 30% body fat if not more. It's now a new year, and it's time for a new me. I am extremely obese, and it's pathetic. As of now, I feel like a failure for putting my body in this shape, hopefully by this time next year, I'll have a new physical appearance.

My diet will not officially start until Monday, January 8th, 2007. The reasons for this is it will give me time to fix my sleeping schedule(usually up all night and part of the day then sleep the rest of the day and repeat the process.) and this clearly won't lead to any success. I have to go to the grocery store as well and equip myself with healthy, nutritious food. As of now, I do not have the proper food to diet with.

My goals are realistic and I should be able to achieve each one of them, one step at a time. The over all goal I have set for January 1st, 2008 is 50lbs(hopefully more!). My monthly goals will be anywhere from 3-5lbs a month. I have also set a "mid-term" goal of 20lbs by the summer. Once I have hit my goal of a 50lb or more loss, that will not be the end of my diet, actually don't look at this as a diet, it's going to be my lifestyle.

I will be eating 1200 calories a day, with at least 1 hour exercise or more throughout the day. I will not being lifting weights until about 2 months in my plan, just to give me some time to shed some fat and get some money to pay for the gym membership :). Monthly pictures will be took as encouragement and and motivation.

I will start of walking on a treadmill, doing sitings, push ups, shadow boxing, and HITT cardio until I can get in the gym. I will mix all the exercise up each day. Rest will play a important factor in this as well, so that's why I am currently working to fix my sleeping schedule.

I will post my before pictures once I take them, they should be on here anytime between now and when my diet starts. There will be a weekly weigh-in on Mondays. This thread will be updated everyday anywhere from 7:00PM to 8:00PM when I officially start my diet. I will update with Dayley stats such as foods ate, exercise done, time of wake, and so on. Sorry for this post being sorta long.
Sincerely,
-Hammerhead

You may want to increase your Calorie intake up to something like 2000-2500 healthy calories especially due to your weight right now. Remember, more is less and you'll want to get that dormant metabolism going. Just try to eat mainly healthy with no booze. It's going to be a tough goal but it's achievable if you keep that motivation high and have good time managment with school, workouts, etc.
