Hi All,

I came across this site in Sept 2006 and decided to change my lifestyle stating mid Oct 2006. I constantly read the many amazing changes and effort put in by other members, JS is an inspiration to me so decided to share my 3 month progress.!

My starting weight in Oct was 127kg I currently weigh 112kg (yes im winning:tu: )

I was really disgusted with my body when I started, my gut and moobs gave me a real lack of confidence, dont get me wrong I still have a long long way to go but I think there is a little difference with the pics.

This was taken in OCT 2006 (ignore date as I didnt set it on the camere right)

This one was taken today , not pumped.

You definately look like you cut down a bit. A side view would be easier, I think, but your belly and your moobs look much smaller! I would guess you're feeling much better and more energetic, no?

That's awesome. Great work so far. With that kind of progress behind you, just think what you'll look like in three months from now! So, what was your plan? How did you do it?

Wow. You're doing great for three months. Looking much leaner and you can already tell what you're going to look like as you continue to lose weight. Keep up the good work. :gl:

Definate noticable change, especially around the chest and shoulders, which are looking less low and fat and much much more rounded, and muscular.

Keep it up !!!! :)

Thanks for the replies, sometimes you need someone else to give you an honest opinion.

I will post every two weeks with stats & pics every three months.

You are looking great. You can see a difference on your sides and your chest looks firmer. You have done excellent. Keep up the good work. I think you would be some more motivation and be able to see the difference if you took side profile pics as williamso suggested. :bb: :bb: :bb:

Hi All,

Well here is my end of Jan picture, arm is pumped to show growth.

Im pretty pleased with progress and my build is coming along nicely :D . I have droppd the CV work apart from 10 mins warm up on gym days and now lift weights 4x FB per week.

Calories between 1500 & 2000 per day, only supps I take is Whey Protein.

Wow! Definite progress this time around, the fat has really started coming off and the definition is appearing as well!

I am particularly impressed with your arms/shoulders/traps! Some great definition is coming through there and they have become fairly lean. We men tend to lose the fat from our extremeties first (arms, legs) then it moves to the chest, midsection and then finally the face in most cases. SO just imagine your midsection ad chest being as defined as your arms are right now! It is only a matter of time.

I think the days that you are higher in calories are probably doing you more good than the ones at 1500...that is a bit low. Other than considering that, keep up the great work!

Making good progress, but I think you could make similar gains and still have more calories. I agree with Ryan on that. Post a diet up in the fat loss forum, and I'm sure there are members that would be happy to help you adjust if you want to.

thanks for the support , you dont really see the changes. That said even I can see the difference between my start picture and current.

I have been toying with the calorie intake and think I will take you advice up it to 2000 per day. I think JS started off at 1500 and he stated it hindered his progress (might be wrong).

That's correct. When you bump up your calories, I would suggest a slow climb, maybe 200-300 calories/week, to get to your goal.

2000 still seems a bit low to me, but from 1500 -- that's a 33% increase in calories! I'll bet you'll feel far more energetic and your weight lifting sessions will be much more fun -- and you'll still lose the fat!

Thanks for the update.

Yeah, 2000 is definitely still way lower than I would cut on if I was your size, but it's a step in the right direction.

If you provide more fuel, you're metabolism can ramp up to use it (up to a point). You will feel better and be able to put in more effort in the gym. Just add some calories back in slowly.

Hi all,

Been a while since I have posted but have kept up with the transformation. Changed my routine which has really started to kick the weight off. Now weigh 106kg.

Like many went through a stage of thinking I wasnt making very good progress so I went back to my first picture and compared it to today's.

Will keep plugging away until I finally start to see a six pack....maybe by next summer

Hi JSer's

This was my original thread and I look back with bitterness at the progress I made and let slip. Sadly shortly after my last post I lost my father aged 54 to the big "c" and 6 months later lost my sister aged 23.

Needless to say I was really depressed and turned back to food for comfort.Subsequently put back all the weight I lost. Past year and a half I havnt really been interested in anything and I guess lost my spark. Soooo I found out 2 months ago we are expecting our first child and that has given me focus and something positive to reflect. Does my child want a fat dad?:p No so better get my butt in gear!

So fellow JSer's I will be back on here posting my updates from the end of May. The new name reflects my mental state :tu:

Very sad to hear of the deaths in your family. I have no idea what my response would be, but I can imagine similar to yours that fitness would take a back seat for some time.

So excited to hear about your baby on the way! :claphigh: How exciting and as you state it is probably one of the best reasons to begin pursuing your fitness goals again. I believe that you can get back to where you were and beyond very quickly with the same work and dedication you employed a while back.

Stick around JSF and keep us posted, the support here will be essential for your progress!
