I've been the worlds fattest vegetarian for the last 14 or so years. Now I am changing that, but I need ideas for quick easy and good veggie stuff. I'm Ovo/Lacto so I will eat egg and dairy. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Who was that power vegan that works out with kettlebells on a balance board? He knows.

Mike Mahler!!!!! This is his page on bodybuilding.com http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/mahler53.htm .

This is my typical diet:

Breakfast: 2 Scrambled eggs, English Muffin, 1/2 grape fruit or bowl of strawberrys or cantaloupe.

Mid morning snack: Trail mix

Lunch: Tuna sandwich with lettuce and tomato, apple, bananna

Post workout shake: 1 1/2 scoops of vanilla rice protein (nutribiotic brand), 1 semi-frozen banana, 8 oz of rice milk/Almond milk, 1 Tbsp of Coconut Oil

Dinner: Ummmm...... Whatever :D . I eat fish, so that makes it easy for me. Im sure you can figure out dinner.

Late Night Snack: Almond butter or Cashew butter on Wasa Crackers.

Everything is cooked in Coconut oil as Coconut oil wont turn to trans fat when its heated. Im on a VERY strict no dairy diet right now- Its not that hard actually. I take a mountain of supplements and I take Carlsons' Lemon Cod Liver Oil everyday.

I don't want to get off on the wrong foot, you being new and all. But, there are several threads asking about diet for vegetarians. We're not that uncommon. In fact, if you look at John's meal diary you'll see he was pretty veggie while he was losing fat.

There's a search button (up there ^^), a simple search for "vegetarian" should have returned you plenty of hits. Easily enough to get started.

As Fudgam said, Mike Mahler is a great example. I think John's a good example too!

My $0.02: search around, read some, look at John's food diary, then come back with specific questions. We'll all be VERY happy to help you! :)

fudgam & obscura -- thanks for the link -- I've read it before and it was interesting -- I am really just looking for some quick to fix, healthy, vegetarian foods.

daveo -- no wrong feet here -- but just because I have few posts doesn't mean I'm new. Take a look at my join date and then yours ;) I also am fully aware of the search function of the board and use it -- try it and see how many "quick easy and good veggie stuff." vegetarian threads you find. There were 29 threads containing the word vegetarian -- and none of them answered my needs.

So if anyone knows of or makes any veggie things that are quick, easy and healthy I would appreciate some ideas -- thanks :D
