Thank you, whatdoumean Tue, January 27th, 2004, 02:39 PM you can used body fat calipers or any of the other measuring devices. the electronic methods are more accurate. Jono Tue, January 27th, 2004, 02:46 PM i use the pinch test. if i can grab alot at once, thats to much another week of cutting  Gobadgrs Tue, January 27th, 2004, 06:18 PM Target has a scale on sale right now for $35 that will tell you your body fat % and weight. Be sure to pick up a 9V battery with it. soltrain Tue, January 27th, 2004, 10:54 PM Man..that is the golden question. The most accurate is supposedly the underwater test followed by calipers. But all are possibly flawed by human error. I would go by the calculations on this sight. Good luck. Avec Wed, January 28th, 2004, 04:40 AM How do you properly measure body fat? Thank you, Hi. You need to measure your skin at the right places. There is many methods/formulas for calculating your body fat. I found information about this when I tried out a program called 'Composition Tracker'. Check out www.comptracker.com for more info. By the way, obese people should do measuring with tape, not caliper. The program have information about this form of measuring aswell. :gl: Craig Wed, January 28th, 2004, 05:51 AM you can used body fat calipers or any of the other measuring devices. the electronic methods are more accurate. I was under the impression that although the electronic methods are easier, they're actually quite INACCURATE and can vary greatly at different times of the day. A 7 point caliper method would seem the most practical and accurate method IMHO. John Stone Wed, January 28th, 2004, 10:56 AM http://forums.johnstonefitness.com/showpost.php?p=2537&postcount=9 |
