The pictures don't do you justice, I am sure. You need an angle to the ligthing, straight flash washes out your definition, and focus could be better. Play with it, take more pictures and pick the best one that shows the back, you want us to see. With quality of pictures, I am unsure of before or after aspects.

You have a good body, capture it.

TJL, you have a good physique. GREAT arms and shoulders!! You also look very similar to me in terms of genetics. Good muscle size in the shoulders and upper back, but a tendency to store most of the fat in the lower back, abs, and love handles. It's frustrating, but when you do cut that fat out you will look even more ripped because of the muscle size you have.

And to add to RTE's great post, your pics as well as your posing could be better. Without such a bright flash you will be able to see the definition more, and with posing practice I would bet that you would look almost totally different.

If you're interested, I'm no posing expert but I'd be glad to go into it a little more. Just let me know. :)

Agreed with the guys above. If you had consistent lighting and posing, we'd be able to see the progress much better. From the looks of it, you have some boulder shoulders:tucool: I think at the end of a solid cut, you would look great:flex:

It's funny how much posing has an effect on the appearance. If you pose correctly, you can hide weaknesses and amplify strengths. I've actually been trying to learn how to strike some poses, and it's much harder than I thought they would be.
