View Full Version : Best night time snack yet.
Jokat Sat, December 2nd, 2006, 06:08 AM Hi all,
Something that 1Fast mentioned in a post inspired this. I apologies in advance if it is close to or exactly what he said (I cant remember where I saw it).
1 Scoop of Whey
1 Scoop of Powdered not fat milk
1 Tbsp Peanut Butter (Natty crunchy)
Enough cold water to make a paste out of the above.
Chop up some strawberries and mix into the paste.
You could add splenda or other sweetener but my whey brand is sweet enough.
Tastes like a caramel peanut sauce.
Just add water slowly to get the correct consistency and mix continuously while adding water.
darksleeper25 Sat, December 2nd, 2006, 09:18 AM I've been doing that same thing, with the exception that I don't use powdered milk, I just use skim milk. It tastes very good and you can do a lot of experiementing with it as well. Sometimes I put ground up flax seed in mine as well.
Silver Sat, December 2nd, 2006, 01:02 PM how much is 1 "scoop" of powdered milk? 2 tbsp? 1/2 cup?
1FastGTX Sat, December 2nd, 2006, 02:11 PM Similar! But I like your spin on it. I may have to try that, thanks Jokat!!
Here's what I did last night (a little different than usual). So funny you made this thread because I actually took a picture of it (I have no life, ha):

I usually just use Beverly Ultimate Muscle Protein with cold water. Last night I tried something different. I mixed UMP AND Muscle Provider (more UMP than MP), 2 tbsp. heavy cream, and HOT water. It mixed SO much better with hot water, and it was like eating cake batter or icing. :)

I just used the scoop that came with my whey. I think its about 30 grams of powder.

Pleasure 1FastGTX, I love this mix. Am eating it right now before bed.
I was extra well behaved tonight and passed up ice:drool:-cream and custard knowing that I had my little snack to take care of my sweet craving.

I'm not sure what protein powder you're using, but you can actually (from what I've heard anyway) put some of them in the freezer (with other ingredients added I would assume) and it'll be sorta like ice cream. :)
dluc Sat, December 2nd, 2006, 07:26 PM This sounds like a great idea! I'm going to try it tonight with chocolate protein and some peanut butter. Maybe it will taste something like Reese's:D
hemburger Sun, December 3rd, 2006, 11:41 PM Thanks for the recipe guys. I loved it. :eat:

Jokat Mon, December 4th, 2006, 02:17 AM Hey there,
I did the ice-cream thing that 1FastGTX suggested. Worked like a charm. Just made up the usual recipe and banged it into the freezer for about an hour, stirring at the half hour. Had it with pineapple. Damn I should market this stuff! LOL :drool::drool::drool::drool::drool:
dluc Sat, December 9th, 2006, 12:22 AM Update:
Delicious:eat: - you have to play around with the amount of water for the consistency.
Akutsito Fri, January 5th, 2007, 01:51 AM Its ok to drink this shakes before bed?
Even if you not into weight training?

Going to, in March, i'll spend this 2 months (or month and a half) into dropping some fat first..., do you think its a good idea? :P (Last off topic questions )

I would start weights right away. It will help with the fat loss by maintaining and possibly increasing your leam muscle mass which btw is the most efficient fat burning system your body has.

How are you currently dropping fat? I personally hold weight training pretty quite high when it comes to fat loss.

Hi Akutsito. :) I don't think it's a "bad idea" necessarily, because you're probably better off doing something rather than nothing. If you don't lift weights but at least eat clean and walk around the block, well you're probably better off than the guy who stops at Burger King every day and just goes home to watch Seinfeld.
But is it the best idea? IMO, definitely not. I would suggest you begin weightlifting immediately. If "dropping some fat" is your primary goal, I would actually suggest weightlifting over cardio if (for some odd reason) you were forced to choose between one or the other. In my experience weightlifting is more effective for fat loss than cardio could ever dream to be.
Akutsito Fri, January 5th, 2007, 06:09 PM I always get concepts mixed around...
I'm planning to lose weight until March :P, not Fat :P (if it goes down as well, well, thats another story :P)
Necross Sat, January 20th, 2007, 08:46 PM :| so you want to loose muscle mass?
