I took Glutimine with BCAA's (Beverly's) for a while and found it not only stopped my fat loss but I actually gained a little weight when in conjunction with my Cutting diet. In the words of Swolecat -- better leave fasted as fasted and nothing before. Fasted for me is at least 8 hours of consuming nothing (overnight) and before my fasted LISS, I have 1 cup of black caffienated coffee, 16 oz of water and a few thermogenics (e.g., green tea extract.) I do even better if my last meal the night before is protein/fat, usually some low fat cottage mixed with AT vanilla protein powder and cinnamon and a tablespoon or so of water and some almonds or fresh peanut butter.
