what do you think about adding this to my diet as a breakfast food or lunch? Anything "bad" about it's make-up that should have me avoid it?

I hate eggs and I thought this would be one way to get them into my body. Strange, I like eating this, but I will not eat eggs of any type. I even tried egg beaters and liquid egg whites, I feel so ill at the taste and smell of eggs.

This quice can be purchsed made with mushroom ,spinach or brocolli.
As I said it is at the deli counter made fresh so not frozen food or processed.

Store bought deli counter quiche:

This product looks to be very heavy on the fat and and you could get carbs in much more calorie dense foods. Eggs would be preferred, but they are not absolutely required for weight loss. If the main reason for this item is to replace eggs, and the main reason for eggs is their protein/fat, then you could make a better protein/fat choice here.

I wouldn't touch it myself.

I actually don't know what quiche really is made of. My guess is (for it to even sell) - it probably has egg yoke and cheese and a buttery crust. Did I guess right?

I wouldn't touch it either.

Quiche =
pastry crust: shortening or lard with refined white flour (that's a lot of saturated fat and not an ideal carb source).
filling: whole eggs plus cheese, with a few vegetables (more saturated fat)

4.9 oz of quiche isn't very much. You'd probably still be quite hungry even after two servings of this, even though it would be a lot of calories.

Have you tried eating omelettes?

Egg Beaters (http://www.eggbeaters.com/products/southwestern.jsp) has some new products out. You can just pour them into a dish and microwave them for a quick tasty omelette.

Or try oatmeal pancakes:
1/2 C oats
2 egg whites
1 mashed banana or 1/2 C cottage cheese, yogurt, or tofu
sweetener as desired
cinnamon or other spice, vanilla or other extract as desired

MMM these sound good--have you tried them at all with added protein powder? I'll have to try it.

I haven't myself, but I know a lot of people that do. They call them protein pancakes.
