RoCesK19 Mon, October 23rd, 2006, 06:01 PM I'm a 19 year old male who weighs 173 lbs, i've been on NO-Xplode and CellMass for the last 6 weeks, I have seen very little gains while taking these 2. My Bench has increased by 20 lbs, squat by 40, and deadlift by 30. I have gained 5 lbs, but was hoping for more of 1.5-2.5 lbs a week, instead of the <1 I have been. My diet is very good, usually around 140-200g of protein per day. I was doing a 3 day split followed by 1 day off, and repeat, chest/tris shoulder/bis legs/back. I have another 4 weeks left of this stuff, and was wondering if anyone had advice on how I could up my weight/strength gains.
The reason I think these gains aren't that much is because just taking cell-tech creatine last march, I gained 12 lbs in 2 months, around 8 of this was muscle, and I gained much more strength just on monohydrate creatine, than I am while stacking an energy supplement and CEE. Any help would be appreciated.
mastover Mon, October 23rd, 2006, 06:25 PM Congrats, that is some impressive strength gains! :tu:
Without knowing your exact nutritional plan, I'd say you aren't eating enough to support muscle growth, although if the 5 lbs you've gained is all muscle and not adipose tissue, you are definitely on the right track. Get your protein up to 300-325 gr and you should see even more results. :tu:
Keep lifting hard and progressively each week, and you'll conitinue to improve. But, do not be discouraged with what you've accomplishedso far!

RoCesK19 Mon, October 23rd, 2006, 07:03 PM Well it varies slightly from day to day, but usually goes something like this,
Upon Waking(7 am): 50g -400cal protein shake, with WW english muffin with PB
2nd meal (10am): Banana WW bread turkey sandwich.
Take NO-xplode around 12, workout at 12:30
Take Cellmass after workout, wait 30 minutes, take in 50g -400 cal protein shake, and small serving of pasta.
3rd meal(4-5pm): WW bread PB and Jelly sandwich
Dinner (7-8pm): Either, lean burgers, grilled chicken/rice, or pasta with meatsauce
5th meal(10:30pm) right before sleep:50g- 400 cal protein shake
Thats my usual diet per day, some variance in that like cereal isntead of pasta after workout, or switch when I have both sandwiches, but other than that I stick to that pretty well. Any suggestions would be fine.

Try this:
M1: 4 egg whites, 2 whole eggs, 1/2 cup oatmeal, 4 oz 99% ground turkey
M2: 40-60 blended high quality protein powder, 3 tbls heavy whipping cream in water
M3: 8 oz chicken, 1 cup broccoli, 6 oz sweet potato
M4: 8 oz chicken, 2 cups salad w/ 2 tbls extra virgin olive oil + balsamic vinegar, 1/2 cup brown rice
M5: same as M2
M6: 1 cup cottage cheese or 8 egg whites + 2 tbls natural PB, 1/2 cup unsweetened or fresh pineapple.
PWO I'd take extra bcaa's and EAA's immediately after completion of your last set, plus your creatine. 30 minutes later I'd have the shake consisting of 40-60 gr protein. Followed 1 hour later with your next meal.
The best method I've come across for creatine,is to include it in your DURING workout drink. Not after. JMHO ;)

RoCesK19 Mon, October 23rd, 2006, 09:56 PM Alright, I'll try to do that the best I can, thanks for the advice.
Just a question on lifting splits while on creatine, because of the advanced recovery, can I workout each muscle group twice a week, or should I be doing each group only once a week?

Creatine might enhance your recovery, but not to the extent you believe. Stick to one bodypart per week. Spend a good while building your foundation, your base.
You've got to build the house first, before adding in the play room, closets, extra bathrooms, bedrooms, etc. :tu:
