hey, I do cardio 4x a week and was just wondering where other people stand?

I voted 7 because I do it daily, but I also do it twice daily, with the 2nd session being different lengths depending upon if it's a workout day or not.

Call me Cardio King. :lol:

I am in the same boat as SC I do 20min HITT on lifting days in the morning (mon wed Fri) and 45 min every other day except Sundays, and I aim to do 5 nights spinning 45min per week and 90min on a Saturday.

I’m training for a bicycle event 94.7km mid Nov.


I hoped with all the cardio fat loss will be a bit faster but I cant complain.

I looked at the article on maximum possible fat loss and re calculated my calorie requirements and it is much lower.

According to the Harris-Benedict formula (BMR based on total body weight) MEN you should have 2297 kcal per day using a activity factor of 1.375 and a 20% deduction for fat loss

And According to the article I need to consume 1760kcal.

Does this look right?

I’m 1.87m, 21.2%, 94.6kg, male.

I've been doing a big cut (http://theweightlifter.blogspot.com/2006/10/low-cal-6011-min-warbiking-3-months-41.html) the last three months, so it's been 7 days a week, usually. Missed three days in the last 4 weeks.

I find lots of cardio + a solid cut in cals is the best way for ME to loose weight. Moderate cardio + reasonable diet is how I keep it off :)

That's the only thing that works for me, I put it right back on if I stop. I have to do 7 days a week, try to do morning fasted cardio. I'll do it at night or again if I've cheated or if I feel like a slug.

:lol: I dunno if i'd call that the same boat...
HIIT is fine, just dont do it on lifting days, and dont do it in the morning unless you're eating plenty of carbs everyday.
