Currently all topics in all forums are bold from you last visit. When you log back in, all the prevously bolded topics are no longer bold, as they are 'not new since the last visit'. I'm sure I"m not the only one who doesnt have time to read all the new posts in all the areas. Is there a way to keep the new topics bold, and leave them bold untill you at least visit the subcategory even if you do log out? For example, I might have time just to look in the 'off topic discussion'. I didnt get a chance to read Mr. X's post in the weight loss section. I have to log off. When I get back on, all the other sections, Mr. X's post along with every other posts I have not read, do not show up as 'new'. (Am I making any sense?) Thanks!

After 15 minutes of inactivity your session is timed out and all posts are marked as read. This is done for a very good reason: how does the server know which threads you really want to read? There may be 100 new posts since your last visit but you probably only want to read a handful of them. If the server kept everything you didn't read flagged as "new" (as you are suggesting), then after a while it would quickly get out of hand and every post you had no interest in reading would always show up as "new". The 15 minute timeout is the best compromise, which is why it is the default on just about every forum out there.

When I log in, I go to New Posts under Quick Links. Usually about five pages of new posts. I open those five pages, then right click on the topic I'd like to read to open in new window.

I leave those five pages open all day, or until I have a chance to scan through the thread titles.
